Finding Balance in Your Day
Balance is a quiet kind of strength. It’s knowing when to pause, when to push forward, and when to simply make time for yourself.
Life today can feel overwhelming. The world feels heavy, our days are packed, and it’s easy to forget to care for ourselves. Yet finding those small moments of calm has never been more important.
Each day, I try to notice something good - something that brings a spark of joy. Maybe it’s the sun spilling across the floor, a long-awaited rainfall, a breakthrough in learning Italian (yes, a little victory!) or a kind word from a stranger. These small moments are powerful.
Balance doesn’t have to be grand. One mindful act can shift your day: a slow walk, a quiet coffee in your favourite café, or simply five minutes of peace. These tiny pauses help us feel grounded, nourished, and happier inside.
As the weather cools, one of my favourite ways to find balance is to soak in a warm bath, a beautifully scented soap in hand, a glass of wine nearby, and a good book waiting. Simple. Luxurious. Restful.
