Balance

Balance is an essential part of life. Being balanced means understanding when to take a break, when to push yourself, and when to make time for yourself.

We need to find balance in our lives. Today life seems to be busier than ever before. The Planet is in turmoil, the economy is a mess, and we are finding it harder to make ends meet. It is more important than ever to take time out to relax. Make time for ourselves.  Making that happen can be pretty challenging when you are tearing your hair out just trying to get through the day. There’s so much we try to fit in.

So here’s what I like to do – Every day I make a conscious effort to find something good about my day. It may be that the sun is shining, or that the rain has finally come - I'm learning Italian (I may have had a break through moment, OMG!) or even received a compliment from a stranger (thank you). Just simple moments.

Each day do one thing that makes you feel good. It could be going for a walk, coffee in a fave cafe or consciously finding 5 minutes of peace. These things are usually small and simple, but they can change how the day goes. They can make life feel balanced, get us feeling all happy inside and that’s important stuff. Finding the right balance can help us lead healthier, more productive lives.

One of my favourites as the weather gets colder is to soak in a hot bath with a beautiful scented soap, a glass of wine and a good book.
